BROADWAY SCHOOL OF REAL ESTATE (BSRE)
in Greater Little Rock is the oldest real estate school in the state, and was located on South Broadway in Little Rock for twenty two years.

It was founded in 1968 by Mrs. Ruth P. West as the Broadway Tutoring Service. In 1969 it was licensed as a business school and received its present name. Mrs. Ruth A. Lowery has been the Owner-Director since May of 1973, and her son, David W. Lowery has been affiliated with the school since January 1981.

It is now located in the same building as The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, which is an office building facing Willow Street, at the SE corner of West Pershing and Willow Streets in North Little Rock.

Ruth Lowery, the former Ruth Holt, graduated from North Little Rock High School and received her undergraduate degree from Ouachita Baptist University in 1948. She was a military wife, traveling extensively with her husband until he retired in 1970. She has taught in public schools, but after she received her real estate broker's license in 1971, she was invited to become a real estate instructor and has served in that capacity since 1972. At the present time, she is the principal instructor of the day classes.
 
David Lowery, a 1973 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, is a rated helicopter pilot and served nine years in the U.S. Army and fourteen years in the Arkansas National Guard. Before joining the Broadway School of Real Estate team, he received the equivalence of a degree in Real Estate at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock in May of 1983. He works actively in real estate as an exclusive Buyer's Broker with The Buyer's Agent of Arkansas Realty Company and is the primary instructor of the night classes, and instructor of post licensing and continuing education. 

The Broadway School of Real Estate offers a 60-hour, Basic Principles of Real Estate Course that gives one a good basic knowledge of the language and various aspects of real estate, and covers all material necessary to pass the licensing examination.

Broadway School of Real Estate is licensed by the Arkansas Board of Private Career Education and approved by the Arkansas Real Estate Commission as satisfying the educational requirements of the state licensing law.
